EVAP Purge Solenoid Conditions

Engine running with these "arming" conditions satisfied Engine not powered-down, not in Limp-In mode, time since last EVAP solenoid activation over 72 uS, then the test started and the PCM detected that the actual solenoid state did not match intended state for 3 seconds Test the solenoid resistance (it should be 40-80 ohms)

EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid or VMV Circuit Conditions

Engine running, then the PCM detected a fault in the solenoid or valve circuit with the device commanded on or off Scan Tool Tips An EVAP PID at 0% with voltage at less than 1.0v, or an EVAP PID at 100% with a voltage over 0.5v indicates a hard fault in the circuit

EVAP Purge Solenoid Control Circuit Conditions

Key on or engine running, system voltage from 9-18v, then the PCM detected an improper voltage level on the EVAP Purge solenoid control circuit, condition met for at least 30 seconds
