No PCM or TCM system codes set, then the PCM runs the two different MAP tests described next. High Input Test - Engine running, throttle plate closed and a high MAP input present, then the PCM detected the TP sensor input that was too high (it should be low) Low Input Test - Engine running, VSS input over 25 mph, throttle plate open and a low MAP input present, then the PCM detected a TP sensor input that was too low Either condition met for 4 continuous seconds

No MAP or TP sensor codes set, engine running, ECT input over 158°F, MAP input under 50 kPa or over 70 kPa, MAP input steady, and PCM detected the Actual TP input was over the Calculated TP input with MAP input under 50 kPa, or was below the Calculated MAP input with the MAP input over 70 kPa for 10 seconds.
